Samsung Unveils New POWERbot Turbo Robot Vacuum

Samsung has unveiled a new robot vacuum today that it's aiming right at the high-end market with, called the POWERbot Turbo. This is a new model of the robot vacuums that Samsung has had available for the last couple of years, and it sets the bar high in the features department, but it also has a price tag to match, commanding a full retail price of $1,199. That being said, it looks like it's actually available on Amazon for around $898, which seems to be a steal considering the regular cost, and when you compare it to the likes of Dyson's latest vacuum effort and their first entry into the robot vacuum space, the 360 Eye.

While Samsung does already offer a lineup of multiple robot vacuum models, the new POWERbot Turbo comes with some seemingly significant upgrades, mainly with the suction power, as Samsung boasts that it has the "most powerful suction" when compared to other robot vacuums on the market. That's a bold claim, and one which consumers are surely going to be holding Samsung to when they're paying the kind of price that Samsung is asking for with this particular model.

Of course, it builds on its offering of most powerful suction with other smart features too, like Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure that the user can select the rooms they want the vacuum to clean and remotely control the POWERbot Turbo from their smartphones. Even with that, though, the suction is still the headlining focus of the new unit, as Samsung states that it has 70 times more suction power than the leading robot vacuum, which is impressive to say the least if it turns out to be as powerful as they claim. Samsung is also highlighting the improvements over the new Turbo's predecessor, such as the CycloneForce system which Samsung has implemented to separate the dust and prevent the vacuum from clogging up as much. While $898 as well as Samsung's suggested price of $1,199 is quite a hefty price tag for a vacuum, Samsung is marketing this model as the perfect solution to prepare your home for the upcoming holiday, and a means to ensure that your home is as clean as possible for when guests arrive. And, when the holiday festivities are over, Samsung says it's the perfect cleaning tool to help you make sure that your home is effortlessly clean following the inevitable mess that happens.
