Samsung Officially Unveils The Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung first introduced its flagship duo, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge back in February of this year, and both devices were made available in quite a number of colors. Then, the ill fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was launched, and it received an unprecedented demand from consumers in the beginning and before the plug on the device was eventually pulled. Now, Samsung is trying to entice consumers who opted for the Galaxy Note 7, with the Galaxy S7 Edge, and to make the device an even more attractive offering, the firm has added three new color variants for the device. The latest color happens to be 'Black Pearl', which follows the release of the Blue Coral and Pink Gold editions released recently, bringing the total number of colors available to seven.

According to Samsung, the new Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge has been designed by the company to give a more modern and striking look. The new design involves a sleek black finish which covers the entire device, including the edges, adding depth to the glass design. Other than being a new color, the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge also comes with upgraded internal storage, which is 128GB, up from the standard 32GB the other color variants are available in. Samsung's latest offering will be available in select markets starting from today onward, and it will likely be pricier than the other variants, since it now comes with a larger degree of internal storage.

While it is a new color, nothing else about the Black Pearl colored Galaxy S7 Edge has changed internally, other than the internal storage. If you purchase one, it still comes with a 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and packs 4GB of RAM under the hood. This handset is fueled by an Exynos 8890 SoC or Snapdragon 820 processor, depending on which region you reside in. The 12-megapixel camera (f/1.7 aperture) is placed on the back of the Galaxy S7 Edge, while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper up front. The Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge is also still IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and packs in a 3,600 mAh non-removable battery. Software wise, it comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box along with Samsung’s very own UI.
