The Lenovo ZUK Edge is a rather interesting smartphone which is scheduled to be announced on December 20th. The company’s CEO confirmed that the phone will land on that date, and the device was certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back. The ZUK Edge will be ZUK’s new flagship smartphone, and the fourth device the company will announce, following the likes of the ZUK Z1, ZUK Z2 and ZUK Z2 Pro. That being said, we’ve already seen a number of leaks of this smartphone, the phone leaked in both black and white variants, and the company’s CEO shared some teaser images of the device as well.
We’re less than a week away from the announcement of the ZUK Edge, so you can expect to see some more leaks to pop up online. Well, one such leak just surfaced, and it’s showing off the white ZUK Edge variant. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll notice that both the front and back side of the device are shown off here, and judging by this image, the ZUK Edge might actually ship with glass on its back as well, while its frame is made out of metal, most probably aluminum. As you can see, the home button is placed down below, and we’re probably looking at a physical home button here, while the fingerprint scanner is almost certainly built into it. The main camera protrudes on the back a bit, and below it, you’ll notice the single LED flash, and what seem to be some additional sensors, a laser autofocus perhaps? In any case, this smartphone sports really thin bezels, and it remains to be seen if it will have any black bars around the display.
The ZUK Edge will ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, as TENAA’s listing confirmed a while back. The phone will pack in 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of native storage. Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor will fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. On the back of the device, you’ll get a 13-megapixel shooter, while a 5-megapixel camera will be available on the front side of this smartphone. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow or Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the ZUK Edge, and on top of it, you’ll get ZUK’s ZUI user interface, of course. The phone will be only 7.68mm thick, and it will weight 160 grams, as per TENAA’s info.
