Another day has passed and another leak surrounding the so-called HTC Ocean emerges on the Internet. More specifically, the HTC Ocean Note reaches the headlines once again following a leaked image showing a transparent protective case for the device, which seems to confirm some of the design cues seen in a previous leak.
The so-called HTC Ocean Note is expected to be part of an upcoming HTC 11 aka "Ocean" smartphone lineup consisting of three models, namely the "Ocean Note", "Ocean Master" and "Ocean Smart". For unknown reasons, the so-called HTC Ocean Note has been subjected to more leaks and rumors compared to its siblings, and it was only yesterday when a monochrome image of the alleged device emerged on the web, presenting a rather familiar design. Today, yet another leaked photo emerged, but this time around it shows what appears to be a transparent protective case for the HTC Ocean Note. The smartphone itself is not shown in the image but regardless, the cutouts in the silicon protective cover seem to match the design elements spotted in yesterday's photo. This includes a square-shaped camera cutout next to a second cutout accommodating the flash and sensors, as well as a smaller cutout near the bottom of the case, which makes room for what appears to be a microphone embedded in one of the two antenna bands.
All in all, judging by the leaked information so far it would seem that the HTC Ocean Note will borrow many design cues from HTC's previous flagship phones including the HTC One M8 and One M9. However, it remains to be seen whether the so-called HTC Ocean Master and Ocean Smart will follow the same formula, or attempt to refresh the lineup with a new design. Either way, spec-wise the HTC 11 / Ocean is expected to draw processing power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or Snapdragon 835 chipset, and the device is likely to make use of 4 GB of RAM along with a minimum of 32 GB of onboard memory. However, seeing how the HTC Ocean Note gets more time under the spotlight than its counterparts, there's also a possibility that hardware specifications could differ from one Ocean model to the other. Needless to say the smartphone's unofficial story so far continues, but as is always the case with unconfirmed products, leaks and rumors remain subject to change.
