Holiday Tech Gift Ideas 2016-2017: Lenovo Moto G4 Plus

Smartphones are always a popular gift in the holiday season, and when it comes to smartphones, you'll be hard-pressed to find something with a better value than the Moto G4 Plus from Lenovo. The Moto G4 Plus comes in at under $300 unlocked. Now, what makes the Moto G4 Plus an incredible buy at that price isn't the specs, it's actually the fact that it is compatible with all four major US carriers. That includes Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T. Meaning you can pop in your Verizon SIM into the Moto G4 Plus and it'll just work. This makes the Moto G4 Plus a great gift, because no matter what network the person is on, the Moto G4 Plus will still work for them.

As with any smartphone, users are going to want to know what specs the Moto G4 Plus is sporting. Well it has a 5.5-inch full HD (that's 1080p) display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and 4GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of storage included, with a micro SD card slot that supports up to 256GB of storage. Keep in mind that the Moto G4 Plus does support Adoptable Storage, so you are able to truly expand the storage on the device. Lenovo does also sell a cheaper model that comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. But for the price, it's definitely worth it to upgrade to the 4GB/64GB model, especially if you're planning on using it for a few years. There's a 3000mAh battery that is non-removable, but will get you through the entire day.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out our review of the Moto G4 Plus from earlier this year. It's definitely worth checking out. Now we can't forget that the Moto G4 Plus does also sport a fingerprint sensor. Allowing you to secure your device, but also authenticate yourself in different apps as well as Android Pay. Finally, the rear-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with the front-facing shooter being a 5-megapixel unit. The Moto G4 Plus is definitely a great stocking stuffer this holiday season, it's jam-packed with value, and everyone will love it.
