Forest: Stay Focused App Helps You Be More Productive

Needless to say, the Google Play Store is filled with interesting applications, and new ones are constantly being released by various developing companies all around the world. Now, every once in a while we stumble upon a really interesting app that is at least somewhat different than anything we’ve seen up to that point, and we believe the same happens to you as well. Well, the app we’ll talk about today is kind of different than most other similar apps out there, let’s see what’s it all about, shall we.

The app we’re talking about today is called ‘Forest: Stay Focused’. Now, this app’s goal is to help you use your smartphone less, which is quite ironic, isn’t it, use an app on your phone in order to use your smartphone less. Well, truth be told, the app's goal is to help you use specific apps less, not the phone in general. Anyhow, this app is meant for those of you who are basically addicted to some, non-productive apps, or at least you feel like you are. Now, with this app, you can plant a seen in the Forest, a seed that will gradually grow into a tree. Now, the thing is, if you leave this app to go browse social media, play a game, or whatever else you are planning to do, the tree will wither away. This app is really interesting overall, and the mechanism is interesting.

In addition to keeping your smartphone addiction at bay, the app is supposed to help you stay focused and get more things done as a result of not using your smartphone all that much. You can track your history within the app, and compared your current results with previous ones. In addition to that, you can always share your forest with your friends and compete with them that way. As you progress, you’ll be able to unlock more tree species to plant, and you can also whitelist a number of applications within this app. This means that you can whitelist apps that you need to use, like your contacts, SMS app, other messaging apps, etc., and leave various games and social media platforms on the blacklist, and let this app help you use them less.
