First Meizu PRO 6 Plus Teardown Appears Online

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus is the most powerful smartphone Meizu had ever introduced. This phablet was announced at the end of last month, and is the only non-Samsung smartphone which is fueled by the Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor, which is considered to be amongst the most powerful mobile processors currently available. That being said, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus resembles the Meizu PRO 6 and Meizu PRO 6s quite a bit, except for the fact it’s quite a bit bigger than those handsets, and it does come with different internals, but the build materials and the general design are quite similar.

The Meizu PRO 6 and Meizu PRO 6s are not all that difficult to disassemble in case something goes wrong with the hardware, and the same goes for the Meizu PRO 6 Plus it seems. The first Meizu PRO 6 Plus teardown popped up in China, and it proves that the device is rather easy to disassemble in case you need to fix something on the inside, or replace on one of its parts. All you’ll need to go through the teardown process is the right screwdriver, a suction cup, tweezers and a pick or some other tool that will let you remove the back cover of the phone once you’ve removed all the screws. In case you’re interested, we’ve included a number of images in the gallery down below which will more or less guide you through the whole procedure, and will show you how exactly to access the phone’s internals.

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus is made out of metal, just like its siblings, and it also comes with Meizu’s multifunctional physical home button which is placed below the phone’s display. The type-C USB port is located on the bottom of the phone, and next to it are the two screws you’ll need to take care of before you’re able to crack open the device. The phone’s loudspeaker is located at the very bottom as well, and the same can be said for the 3.5mm headphone jack and a microphone. The Meizu PRO 6 Plus comes with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. The phone is fueled by the Exynos 8890, and a 3,400mAh battery is included on the inside as well, and it comes with the company’s 24W mCharge fast charging, while a 12-megapixel camera is available on the back of the device.
