If you're looking for a smartphone to pick up this holiday season, look no further than the Honor 5X. Huawei announced this smartphone at CES back in January and it shocked just about everyone. It's a 5.5-inch smartphone with a fingerprint sensor and it's normally priced at $199. That's one heck of a price for what you're getting out of this smartphone. It's sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 616 processor and has 2GB of RAM included. So it's definitely not their most high-end smartphone, that's available in the US (that would be the Honor 8), but it's still a great device at this price range.
The Honor 5X is an unlocked device, which will work on both AT&T and T-Mobile as well as other MVNO networks that run on those networks. Unfortunately it is a GSM device, and not a CDMA so there's no support for Verizon or Sprint at this point. With it being unlocked, this means you can simply toss your SIM card into the device and be on your way.
Typically the Honor 5X would cost you around $199, however Newegg is offering $40 off of it, which knocks the price down about 20%. This makes the device just $159, which is a pretty impressive price tag for the Honor 5X. While not the lowest we've seen for the Honor 5X, it's the lowest price currently available. However, this price ends at midnight tonight, so you'll want to grab it now before it is gone.
