That Dragon, Cancer Is An Odd Game That Will Make You Think

Needless to say, there are tons of compelling gaming titles available in the Google Play Store, and we still manage to get surprised by new games, despite the fact we’ve seen quite a lot of them up to this point. From time to time we stumble upon some rather odd games in the Google Play Store, and some of them are definitely worth sharing. Well, the game we’ll talk about today is… well, odd, that’s the first word that comes to mind when it comes to this game. In any case, read on.

The game in question is called ‘That Dragon, Cancer’, and it’s technically an adventure game, but not your regular adventure game, that’s for sure. This game re-tells a story of Joel Green’s 4-year fight against cancer, which is the first such game we’ve seen to date. This game will give you about 2 hours of gameplay, and this game is kind of a tribute / memorial to Joel Green by his father. This game is actually funded by Kickstarter, which is also quite interesting. In any case, the game combines both first-person and third-person perspective and elements, and we’re looking at a point-and-click game here. Needless to say, this game is rather unique, and chances are it will make you think. It is not a fast-paced game by any stretch of the imagination, and definitely not what you’re used to in terms of adventure titles, so if you’re expecting something like that, this game is definitely not for you. If you are, however, willing to take part in a rather personal game which conveys a message, well, ‘That Dragon, Cancer’ might be just right for you.

Those of you who are looking to try out this game should keep in mind that the game is not free, you’ll have to pay $6 in order to play it, though no additional in-app purchases are required or even available here. The game’s graphics are not exactly top of the line, but it’s rather unique, different. In any case, if you need more info about the game, feel free to check out the Google Play Store listing before you download it, and there are also a couple of official images available in the gallery down below.
