Telegram App Updated With Instant View, Telegraph, And More

Telegram is a messaging application that was released back in August 2013. Since then, this app has gained a lot of traction, as it has been downloaded somewhere between 100 and 500 million times on Android alone, and it is also available on iOS and Windows Phone, at least as far as mobile platforms are concerned. This app provides end-to-end encryption, which is at least partially a reason why it became so popular over the years. The company has been adding new features to this application constantly, and the app just received a rather big update to version 3.14, read on.

Telegram has just received an update both on Android and iOS, and as part of it, we have some new features to play with, and the company has also redesigned parts of the application. Let’s talk about ‘Instant View’ first, shall we. This is a new feature that the company is introducing in Telegram, it essentially allows you to view articles instantly, no loading time whatsoever. Do keep in mind that not all websites are supported by this feature, only a couple of them are, but folks at Telegram have promised that more websites will be added in the near future. Once you share a link to a certain article, you’ll get an Instant View button and will be able to open said article as a native page, which will save both time and data for you, though said article needs to be from a supported website, of course.

Telegraph is the second feature the company has added in this update, and it’s essentially a publishing tool. This tool lets you create rich posts with photos, markdown… and all the other embedded stuff you want. Telegraph posts are automatically shown as Instant View pages within Telegram, which is also great. Now, if you like to read your previous conversations with someone, and don’t like typing in specific words or can't remember them, you’re in luck, because Telegram has added yet another really nifty feature. You can now choose any date you want and the app will open your conversations from said date, you have the calendar tool at your disposal. In addition to all this, you’re getting a new interface and notification settings, improved security for passcode locks and a number of other changes in the design of the app, not to mention you’re getting an improved camera functionality within the app, you’ll be able to shoot images and videos faster.
