Generally speaking, Xiaomi is known as a company who does like to provide consumers with value for money options. In terms of their smartphones, this normally translates as devices which come packing pretty good specs, as well as a pretty decent build quality and at a pretty decent price. However, some of the newer arrivals from the Xiaomi stable are not just pretty decent, but are downright powerhouse smartphones. One of which is the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
This is a smartphone that was announced back in late October and with that announcement came the confirmation that the standout feature for the Mi Note is its powerful prowess, as this is a smartphone which includes 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. A combination which easily does make this one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. However, the rest of the specs are pretty good as well. In terms of the display, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes packing a 5.7-inch display and follows one of the current display trends at the moment by coming equipped with curved edges. In terms of the cameras, you can expect to find a 22-megapixel camera on the back, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features that are worth mentioning include a decent 4,070 mAh battery (which supports Quick Charge 3.0), NFC functionality, HD audio quality, dual-SIM support and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box. It is also worth keeping in mind that there are two versions of this smartphone, the standard Mi Note 2 and the Global version. Needless to say, the difference between them is largely just the band support. The standard Mi Note 2 is listed to work with 2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8, CDMA BC0, 3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8, TD-SCDMA B34/B39, 4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7 and TDD/TD-LTE: B38/B39/B40/41. While the Global version is listed to work on 2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8, CDMA BC0 / B1 / B10 / B15, 3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8, TD-SCDMA B34/B39, 4G: FDD-LTE B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B13 / B17 / B18 / B19 / B20 / B25 / B26 / B28 / B29 / B30 and TDD/TD-LTE B38/B39/B40/41.
So overall, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is far more than just a capable smartphone, as these specs do make it one which can easily stand up against any other smartphone on the market. Which in turn, does mean that this is a smartphone worth considering as a future upgrade. Speaking of which, the Mi Note 2 is now available to pre-order from GearBest. In terms of price, the standard Mi Note 2 is available to pre-order for only $597.99 while the Global version is available to pre-order for $629.99.
