OnePlus 3T Is Official, Available Nov. 22 & Starting From $439

The last few weeks has seen multiple rumors developing about what OnePlus was preparing to announce this week. In fact, those rumors and leaks did lead to quite the comprehensive picture being painted before the official announcement and as to be expected, OnePlus has today announced its newest smartphone offering, the OnePlus 3T. Although, to many, this will not be so much of a new smartphone, but more a re-visioning of the already-available OnePlus 3.

In terms of the specs, much of what is on offer with the OnePlus 3T is in line with what you will find on the OnePlus 3. This includes the employment of a 5.5-inch display with an FHD resolution. Likewise, the OnePlus 3T also comes loaded with 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and a 16-megapixel rear camera. That is, in addition to USB Type-C connectivity and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in the form of OxygenOS. So if you are wondering where the differences between the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T do lie, then it seems the processor and the battery life are the two main areas to focus on. OnePlus has now confirmed that the OnePlus 3T comes with a processor upgrade from the OnePlus 3's Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 to the newer Snapdragon 821 (clocking at 2.35 GHz). Likewise, the battery capacity has seen a bump with the OnePlus 3T packing a 3,400 mAh battery. Another notable change is that while the rear camera has remained the same, the front-facing camera has been upgraded and now incidentally, also happens to be a 16-megapixel camera. It is also worth noting that while the rear camera is still a 16-megapixel option, it does come with an upgraded EIS. The last noticeable differences are that in addition to the 64GB storage model, the OnePlus 3T will also be available in a 128GB model for those that want greater levels of storage. As well as the old 'Graphite' color now being replaced by the new 'Gunmetal' color.

Another area where there is difference between the two models though, is the price. OnePlus has looked to maintain a low price-point with the OnePlus 3T, although it is not as low-priced as the OnePlus 3 was at launch. Therefore, those who are looking to pick up the OnePlus 3T, OnePlus has confirmed that the smartphone will be available to buy directly from OnePlus starting from November 22 in the US and November 28 in Europe. In the US, the OnePlus 3T pricing starts from $439, while in Europe, prices start from €439 and in the UK, prices start from £399.
