Meizu had introduced two flagship devices this year, the Meizu PRO 6 and Meizu PRO 6s, but recent rumors are pointing to a third such device, though this one is expected to be ground-breaking, in a way. The Meizu PRO 7 has been surfacing for a long, long time at this point. Most rumors suggested this will be a smartphone with a curved display, powered by the Exynos 8890 SoC. The device was expected to land in September, but the company’s VP, Li Nan, said that the Meizu PRO 7 will not arrive before 2017. Well, he said that a while back, and the most recent rumor / leak suggested that it might land in December, and that leak also shared a number of images of the device as well, read on.
We’ve seen two separate leaks of Meizu’s upcoming bezel-less smartphone lately, and the one that surfaced earlier today actually says that will be the Meizu PRO 7. If this leak is to be believed, the Meizu PRO 7 will be a direct competitor to the Xiaomi Mi MIX, and it will ship with even fewer bezels than Xiaomi’s flagship, or at least it seems that way based on the provided info. The images that surfaced earlier today are really stunning, and it will be interesting to see how accurate this leak is, and whether the phone will arrive this year or not. In any case, a new rumor has just surfaced, and it brings more info regarding specs of Meizu's upcoming high-end smartphone (possibly the Meizu PRO 7), though take this info with a grain of salt, of course.
According to the newly leaked info, Meizu's upcoming flagship will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X30 SoC, which is the company’s new flagship SoC, which will not be ready to ship to companies that soon. So, if the phone is really going to arrive next month, then it will not be fueled by this SoC, that’s for sure. In addition to this SoC, the rumor also says that the device will ship with 8GB of RAM, which might seem crazy, but we’ve seen quite a few devices with 6GB of RAM thus far, so this doesn’t seem all that unbelievable at this point. Now, do keep in mind that the source does not mention the Meizu PRO 7 in any way, so this info could be connected to some other Meizu-branded, high-end phone that is supposed to arrive in the coming months, we’ll just have to wait and see.
