The Huawei Mate 9 actually does not sport the curved display, but the Porsche Design Mate 9 does. So, many people were wondering whether the company plans to introduce a new variant of the Mate 9, a variant of the device which will have a decent price tag and feature a curved display. Well, it could happen, it seems, read on.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the alleged Huawei Mate 9 Pro, a device which looks like the Porsche Design Mate 9, but it lacks the Porsche Design branding on it. According to the provided info, the phone will be launched only in China, and rumors are saying it will be introduced today during the company’s press event in China, along with the Huawei Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9 which have not been launched in the country just yet, Huawei had introduced these two phones internationally during their event in Munich, Germany. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro seems to be made out of metal, and as already mentioned, its design seems to be identical to the one we’ve seen on the Porsche Design Mate 9, which could indicate its spec sheet could be the same as well.
The device will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) curved AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. The device will be fueled by the Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU for graphics. The 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel camera sensors will be placed on the back of this phone with Leica’s lenses on top of them. On the other hand, you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper on the front side of this smartphone. The non-removable 4,000mAh battery pack will also be a part of this package, and Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on this device with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 on top of it.
