The Meizu PRO 6 had been introduced back in April, as one of the first Meizu-branded smartphones to be introduced in 2016. This is Meizu's flagship smartphone at the moment, though that might change soon considering that the company plans to release the Meizu PRO 6s, a device that has been leaking out for a long time now. This won't be the Exynos 8890-powered handset that we've all been waiting for, the company's VP confirmed that the Meizu PRO 7 (which was supposed to be powered by that SoC) launched this year, unfortunately. Chances are that the Meizu PRO 6s could ship with the same SoC that you can find in the Meizu PRO 6, MediaTek's Helio X25.
That being said, the company's execs have already said that the Meizu PRO 6s will resemble its predecessor, and the company's VP even shared the back side of the phone which looks very similar to the Meizu PRO 6. They did say that the PRO 6s will sport a better camera than the PRO 6, and that it will also be able to hold a charge longer than its sibling. The Meizu PRO 6s is actually expected to land later today, as the company had sent out invites for the event a while back. Having that in mind, the company's pricing just leaked, the Jingdong Mall reservation listing reveals that the PRO 6s could cost 2,699 Yuan ($399), we're looking at a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant here, and this is probably the higher-end model, as we're expecting the 32GB variant to be announced as well, and that variant will be cheaper, of course.
The Meizu PRO 6s is expected to sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The phone will probably ship with the Helio X25 64-bit deca-core processor, and a 3,060mAh battery will be included on the inside. The PRO 6s is expected to sport a 12-megapixel snapper (Sony's IMX386) on the back, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this device, along with Flyme, company's custom skin for Android. Stay tuned, the phone is expected to be announced later today.
