Gionee might not be one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in China, but this company is quite active both in China and India, and had released some really compelling smartphones in the last couple of years. Their Elife E8 handset had been introduced back in July 2015, and was quite popular for quite some time, and so were the company's Marathon-branded devices which pack in big battery units. That being said, it seems like the company is planning to release two really interesting new phones in the near future, read on.
Two of the company's devices got certified by TENAA (China's equivalent to the FCC) in China, the Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T. These two devices are actually really well-specced metal-clad devices, we not only know their specifications now, but also know what will the two devices look like. Both the Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T will be made out of metal, and will look identical. The two devices will ship with a home button below the display, and that key will double as a fingerprint scanner. The only visible difference between these two devices will be in the SoC department, as the Gionee S9 will ship with an octa-core SoC running at 1.8GHz, while the 64-bit octa-core processor included in the Gionee S9T will be clocked at 2GHz. We still don't know what chip exactly can we expect here, it is possible that the two devices will ship with different processors inside, we'll just have to wait and see. Both of them come with a rather visible camera hump on the back, and speaking of which, we're looking at two camera sensors here.
The Gionee S9 and Gionee S9T will pack in 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras on the back, and next to them, you'll notice the dual LED, dual tone flash. The 13-megapixel snapper will be available up front, and these two phones will come with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display. You can expect to see 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of expandable storage included in this package as well, and a 3,000mAh battery will be here to make sure that you have plenty of battery throughout the day. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on these two phones, and on top of them, you'll get Gionee's Amigo OS 3.2. The two devices will come in Silver, Black and Gold color variants, and you can expect them to launch soon.
