Samsung had introduced three flagship devices this year, the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 7. The first two devices have been selling really well ever since they were introduced back in February, and have been amongst the most successful devices ever for Samsung, if not the most successful ones. The Galaxy Note 7 is a completely different story, however, this device was supposed to be a smashing success for the Korean tech giant, but due to issues with its battery and the tendency for the device to go up in flames, Samsung had recalled the phone twice and had decided to stop selling it altogether.

That being said, Samsung needs to make up to consumers, and in order to do that, and make people forget all about the Galaxy Note 7, the company really needs to step up with the Galaxy S8. We've been seeing various rumors regarding this smartphone in the last couple of weeks, and a new one just landed. According to supply chain sources, the Galaxy S8 will feature a QHD display (2560 x 1440), just like its predecessors, though it will be a new and improved one, of course. So, it seems like we might not see a 4K display that a number of rumors suggested, but a really great QHD panel instead. In addition to that, supply chain sources claim that the Galaxy S8 will not sport a home button below the display, and if true, this will be a huge change for the company. Sources claim that no component vendors have received orders from Samsung for parts that are used for a home button. So, if true, perhaps Samsung intends to take advantage of Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and implement it under the display, though it is also possible they'll include it on the back of the phone, of course.

All in all, chances are that Samsung plans to step away from their usual design, and that they'll try to awe people with the Galaxy S8. So, will we see some sort of a crazy design coming from Samsung, a bezel-less device perhaps? Well, it is possible, Xiaomi's recently introduce Xiaomi Mi MIX phablet is truly eye-catching, and latest rumors are claiming Meizu is working on a bezel-less smartphone as well. In any case, the Galaxy S8 is expected to arrive on February 26th, so stay tuned.
