The Sony Xperia X Compact is one of the smaller smartphones to be released in 2016. Sony decided to continue with their "Compact" line of smartphones, despite switching from the Xperia Z line to the Xperia X lineup this year. The Xperia X Compact is not, however, the same specs as the higher-end Xperia XZ however. It does have a smaller 4.6-inch 720p display along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and 3GB of RAM running the show. There is also a 23-megapixel camera on the backside with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. All of this is powered by a non-removable 2700mAh battery. It is also running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a slightly customized skin on top.
Typically, the Sony Xperia X Compact would set you back about $499, but right now Amazon is selling it for just $399. That is actually the cheapest the Xperia X Compact has ever been, which is pretty impressive. Especially considering it only launched this past fall. At the time of writing this, it is available in black, blue and white colors. It's possible that the blue color is going to sell out fairly quickly, due to how popular it really is.
