Deal: Chromecast and Chromecast Audio $25 – 11/28/16

We've never had it so good when it comes to the consumption of digital media, there are countless providers of TVs, Movies and Music that don't charge too much but give us access to all the media we want, and thanks to things like the Chromecast, it's super-easy to get it playing where we want it to go. When the original Chromecast was launched, people were a little confused about what it was, and why we would want such a thing. Now, everyone out there has a streaming stick of some sort, but there's nothing quite like the Chromecast. This Cyber Monday – just as they have been since Black Friday – they're on offer for $25 a piece, that's $25 for either the Chromecast or the Chromecast Audio.

Where the former is concerned,we all know that it's great for streaming content to the big screen, and while it doesn't do 4K like the new Chromecast Ultra, it still runs at 1080p, and offers users all kinds of apps and now games, too. It's neat, easy-to-use and quicker than the original version. Usually priced at $35, this offer at $25 from the Google store on eBay also comes with three months of HBO Go for free. As for the Chromecast Audio, these are an inexpensive way of connecting HiFi systems to the Internet and using something like Spotify Connect, they can be a super-inexpensive way of creating a multiroom setup on your terms, without having to setup a Sonos system in every room.

For years now I've had a heavy interest in technology, growing up with 8-bit computers and gaming consoles has fed into an addiction to everything that beeps. Android saved me from the boredom of iOS years ago and I love watching the platform grow. As an avid reader and writer nothing pleases me more than to write about the exciting world of Android, Google and mobile technology as a whole.
