As some of you might know, HMD Global is getting ready to release Nokia-branded, Android-powered devices out to the market. HMD Global will basically manufacture Nokia devices under Foxconn's wing, and even though we're not exactly looking at the same Nokia that was at the very top of the cellphone market back in the day, it's still good to see that Nokia-branded devices will be released out to the market. Earlier today, alleged Nokia D1C renders surfaced, showing off a device with a metal frame and a rectangular shape. Well, another Nokia leak just surfaced, and this time around we have some real life images to share with you, and they look somewhat different than what we've seen earlier today, read on.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you'll get to see the alleged Nokia-branded smartphone (well, it's back plate), though we still don't know whether this is supposed to be the Nokia D1C or Nokia P1, as both of those devices were rumored in the last couple of months. In any case, this back plate is made out of metal, and it has two cutouts on the back, these are either cutouts for a dual camera setup, or perhaps a single-camera + a fingerprint scanner. The latter option is more likely, as the lower cutout is circular, while the upper one has a somewhat different shape. Nokia's branding is present on the back of this back plate and the antenna lines are located in the upper and lower portion of the back plate. Truth be told, this design kind of reminds us of the Meizu PRO 6(s). In any case, the power / lock and volume rocker cutouts are placed on the right-hand side of this back plate, which suggest that's where they'll be located once the phone gets released, of course.
Now, presuming this is the Nokia D1C, you can expect to see a fullHD display included here, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, at least according to AnTuTu's recent listing. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of the Nokia D1C, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be placed up front. Now, if this is, by any chance, the Nokia P1, then you can expect it to ship with high-end specs, at least if rumors are to be believed.
