Android Family Organizer Picniic Hits Google Play Store

Remember Fit Brains, the brain exercise app published by Rosetta Stone last year? Well, after selling that gray matter trainer to Rosetta Stone for $12 million, the creator of the said app went back to work and has just returned with another unique mobile solution. This one is called Picniic and is advertised as "Slack but for home life." In other words, Picniic is a family management app designed to compile all of your family activity and data in one place.

This mobile tool aims to help you keep your family organized and connected by combining a number of useful features for parents and offering them within a streamlined dashboard which also doubles as a news feed and can be updated by all family members. Among other things, Picniic allows you to create shared shopping lists, family calendars, recipe planners, and medical records histories. The app also boasts an integrated family locator and is designed to be used by both married and divorced parents. Apart from sharing non-sensitive data, information such as emergency contacts and insurance records can be managed via Picniic's native Info Lockers which allow you to securely store and forward private information related to your family.

In addition to everything mentioned above, Picniic also boasts a Group Events feature designed to facilitate planning of family gatherings with various polls. For example, you can send your kids a survey about what movie they want to see over the weekend, followed by another poll to identify their preferred date and time for this activity. As for other integrations, Picniic also features native support for numerous popular services like Work Calendars and TeamSnap so migrating to this app is as easy as possible.

Picniic is available for download from the Google Play Store free of charge. This family management app features no in-app ads but attempts to make money through a so-called Picniic Premium Family Plan which offers a bit more useful functionalities. A monthly Premium subscription is priced at $11.99 while a yearly subscription will set you back $49.99. In addition to Android devices, this organizational tool also has a browser version which can be accessed on
