Sony's Xperia XZ Now Available For Pre-Order Across Europe

Sony announced the Xperia XZ alongside the Xperia X Compact at IFA earlier this year in September. While the Xperia X Compact went on sale a few weeks after it was announced, the Xperia XZ only started to hit markets beginning last week with Taiwan being the first country to receive the flagship device. Today, the device is being sold in other countries on Sony's official online store.

In the UK, the Xperia XZ is available for pre-order at £550 ($701), and with it, Sony is offering a pair of Sony XB950BT headphones for free which usually cost £150 ($191). However, Sony mentioned that this offer will only be applicable for pre-orders. In Germany, all pre-orders have also been snapped up and the Xperia XZ costs €700 ($781), along with a pair of free headphones which would normally costs customers €200 ($223). Moving on to Poland where the device is selling for PLN 2,900 ($753) and the headphones costs PLN 750 ($194). The Xperia XZ is being sold for SEK 6,990 ($812) in Sweden while the headphones are going for SEK 1,5oo ($174) in the country. In Finland, the devices costs the same as in Germany.

It is also worth mentioning that all pre-orders for the Xperia XZ have been snapped up in the UK, Germany and Poland. At the moment, it is still available in Sweden and Finland, in all color variants which are Mineral Black, Platinum and Forest Blue. As for the Italian site, the device can't be pre-ordered for some odd reason, but the headphones are listed on the page. As far as specs go, the Xperia XZ sports a 5.2-inch fullHD display, it is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 processor, and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be bumped up a further 256GB via a microSD card slot. It comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera on the rear, while the front packs a 13-megapixel camera. As far as connectivity is concerned, this smartphone offers Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB Type-C to charge the 2,900 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct and location tracking using A-GPS and GLONASS. This device comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a  fingerprint scanner is also included.
