Kingdom: New Lands Is An NVIDIA SHIELD Exclusive For $6.99

Those with an NVIDIA SHIELD device on hand and have a passion for strategy-based gameplay as well as retro style pixelated graphics may want to check out Kingdom: New Lands, a new title which has just hit the Play Store exclusively for NVIDIA SHIELD. While the genre for the game is defined as strategy, the gameplay, or in terms of what you'll actually be doing, will have you building up your kingdom while of course needing to fend off nefarious types to defend what you've built. One thing worth noting that while this is playable on any of the NVIDIA SHIELD devices it seems, it still does require the use of the NVIDIA SHIELD controller to actually play.

That said, it seems there is quite a bit to love about the game as it's already receiving a decent amount of praise in the comments section of the Play Store listing, and it would appear to have day and night cycles, although it isn't known exactly if this is the case just judging by the screenshots, as they could simply be the visuals attributed to those particular areas of the game.

The game looks to have plenty of traveling around as you acquire the resources and means to continue building up your kingdom, and since traveling is usually no small task and can be a lengthy affair, you have mounts you can ride between locations, and it looks like there are a decent collection of mounts which you can acquire including different colored horses and even a bear. There also looks to be varied weather types, perhaps for specific locations, and there are certainly enemies which you must defend your kingdom from, including monsters and what look like evil demons or spirits of some sort. As this is a strategy game and you can't expect to build kingdoms by yourself, you'll have citizens who you can employ which will help to build your kingdom up and you'll find a level of management here. If you're interested in giving Kingdom: New lands a try, it can be picked up from the Play Store now on compatible SHIELD devices for a cost of $6.99.
