The Pixel and Pixel XL have been officially unveiled and are now up for the pre-order. Both phones come in three color options: Quite Black, Really Blue and Very Silver. In the US both devices are now up for pre-order and now it seems like they are also available in the UK as well. If you happen to live in the UK , the Pixel devices are now available for pre-order from the Google Store, EE, and Carphone Warehouse.
On Google’s own store, the 32GB Google Pixel costs £599 and, the 128GB (storage) model is priced at £699, while the Pixel XL costs £719 for a 32GB model, and £819 if you go with the 128GB variant. If you’re looking to purchase the device on contract, you can pre-order it from EE, the Pixel starts at £50.99 a month while the Pixel XL starts at a price of £55.99 a month for 24-month contract, and also grants you unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 10 GB of superfast internet, and £50 Google Play Store credit. The Pixel devices are also available through Carphone Warehouse for pre-order, and their price starts at £599, which is a price for the Google Pixel, while the Pixel XL starts at £719.
Apart from the screen size, resolution and battery capacity, the Pixel and Pixel XL share the same hardware under-the-hood. The Pixel sports a 5-inch fullHD display while the Pixel XL boasts a larger 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 64-bit Quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU is here to handle graphics. In the camera department, both devices have a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera and an LED flash, while HDR+ and Photo Burst features come as a part of this package. The 8-megapixel camera is placed on the front side of these two devices. The Google Pixel devices pack in 4GB of RAM and 32GB/128 GB of flash storage (non-expandable). To keep the show running, the Google Pixel comes with a non-removable 2770mAh battery, while the Pixel XL comes with 3450mAh battery, and both of them sport fast charging capabilities. On the software side, both phones come pre-loaded with latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
