Glassdoor's App Is Now Able To Calculate Earning Potential

It's 2016 and there is a good chance that you're already using LinkedIn. However, the professional social network isn't the only convenient way of searching for an employer. In fact, there are plenty of other quality job search apps for Android available on the Google Play Store and Glassdoor's Job Search, Salaries & Reviews happens to be one of them. In addition to letting you search for job openings and company reviews (like most other similar apps), Glassdoor's solution goes one step further as it provides an extensive database of sample interview questions and other useful information. Due to that, Job Search, Salaries & Reviews is actually one of the more robust apps of its kind and it just got even better.

More specifically, Glassdoor's solution now also boasts a personal earning potential calculator named 'Know Your Worth'. Like the name suggests, this tool was primarily designed to let you know how much your current qualifications are worth in any given territory. So, you can easily use this feature to find out whether you're underpaid, paid enough, or even overpaid. While the latter is probably not that likely, you never know. In any case, Know Your Worth is still in beta but Glassdoor points out that this tool utilizes some incredibly advanced proprietary technology which the company is currently trying to patent. In other words, Glassdoor claims that this calculator is pretty accurate. Know Your Worth is now included in the latest version of the Job Search, Salaries & Reviews app.

Once you're logged in, simply input your employer, location, job title, and relevant years of experience and Know Your Worth will do the rest. Note that the calculator still doesn't account for all titles, bonuses, and other incentives but Glassdoor promises that more features are coming soon. The San Francisco-based company is regularly improving its services with useful additions in an effort to create the largest employer database in the world. All in all, if you're on the lookout for another job search app, Glassdoor's solution is definitely worth considering even if you aren't interested in calculating your earning potential.
