Virtual Reality tech continues to be on the rise as more available options come to market, but for those that want an affordable yet still capable product, Samsung's Gear VR should not be forgotten. Samsung was essentially first to market with a VR headset of this particular caliber and although it won't be allowing anyone to play some of the games you'll find on options like the HTC Vive, it's a pretty stellar VR experience as it's powered by Oculus, and you'll find loads of apps and games at your fingertips, including Hulu, Netflix, and more. Normally the Gear VR would cost you $99.99, but right now you can pick it up for just $59.99 which saves you a little more than $40 off the retail price.
It's worth noting that this is the US version of the headset, and it does come with a US warranty as well. The Samsung Gear VR is compatible with multiple Samsung Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and the Galaxy S6 Edge+. It has a touchpad on the side for navigation of the content, and the back head strap as well as cushioned rim around the inside make for a comfortable and secure fit for extended periods of time.
