Bluboo Edge Is Coming With A Curved Display & No Side Bezels

Ever since Samsung introduced the Galaxy S6 Edge, people seem to be very interested in smartphones that sport curved displays, and minimal bezel on the sides. The Galaxy S7 Edge turned out to be an even bigger success than the Galaxy S6 Edge, and some other companies have introduced devices with similar displays. Vivo had launched the Vivo XPlay 5 earlier this year, the company's flagship which sports the 'Dual Edge' display, and Elephone came to play with their Elephone S7 handset which is expected to become available really soon. That being said, it seems like yet another company will join the game really soon, read on.

Bluboo is not exactly one of the best-known China-based smartphone manufacturers, but it sure is one of the more interesting ones. This company had introduced some interesting phones thus far, and they've just confirmed that the Bluboo Edge is coming. The company has said that they'll showcase this smartphone during the Global Sources Mobile Electronics Exhibition in Hong Kong, which means it will be introduced in the next couple of days. The company has also shared an image of this smartphone, and as you can see, it looks quite sleek, though some would say even too similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge, but we'll let you be the judge of that. The button below the display will quite probably double as a fingerprint scanner, next to being a home button, of course. Now, in addition to the Bluboo Edge, the company will also showcase the Bluboo Picasso 4G, Bluboo Mini and Bluboo Dual.

Now, you're probably wondering what specifications can we expect the Bluboo Edge to ship with, right? Well, all we know thus far is that it will be fueled by MediaTek's MT6737 64-bit quad-core processor, which means this will be an entry-level smartphone, or a mid-ranger at the very best. We do expect this smartphone to ship with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, though it is possible Bluboo is planning to release more than one variant of the Bluboo Edge. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will probably ship along with this handset, though we're still not sure, we'll just have to wait and see what the company has to say. We do know one thing for sure though, the Bluboo Edge will be available for purchase from a number of Chinese resellers, which means you'll be able to buy it no matter where you live. In any case, stay tuned, we'll report back soon.
