The Huawei Mate 9's announcement is coming closer by the day. The company's upcoming flagship phablet will, allegedly, launch in November, at least according to the latest report. The device is actually expected to launch on November 8th, and if the latest rumor is to be believed, the device will actually arrive in four variants. The Huawei Mate 9 is also said to sport a pressure sensitive display, and its specifications had also leaked a while back. That being said, another piece of info surfaced in China, read on.
If the source is to be believed, the Huawei Mate 9 will also feature an iris scanner, much like the Galaxy Note 7. Now, in addition to the iris scanner which will be placed on the front side of the device, the Mate 9 is also going to sport a fingerprint scanner on the back, at least allegedly. This phablet will be made out of metal, and it will probably be the most expensive Huawei-branded device this year, which was to be expected. The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to ship in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, with either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM variant will come in either 64GB or 128GB storage flavors, while the 6GB model will be available with 256GB of storage. These three variants of the Mate 9 are said to cost 3,399 Yuan ($509), 3,899 Yuan ($584) and 4,699 Yuan ($704), respectively. Now, Huawei is also expected to bundle in a Huawei Watch with the most expensive Mate 9, and that bundle will, allegedly, cost 7,388 Yuan ($1,107) in China.
The Mate 9 will ship in 9 color variants if a recent report is to be believed, you can expect it to come in Amber Gold, Amber Gray, Ceramic White, Champagne Gold, Enamel Gloss Black, Mocha Gold, Moonlight Silver, Rose Gold and Sky Gray colors. The device will probably sport a 5.7-inch 1080p or QHD display, both variants have been mentioned actually. Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel this smartphone, and Leica's camera lense(s) will be a part of this offering as well, though we still don't know whether the device will sport one or two camera sensors on the back. Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to come out of the box, and on top of it, you'll get Huawei's Android-based user interface called Emotion UI (EMUI).
