OPPO is currently the second-largest smartphone manufacturing company in China, at least as far as H1 2016 smartphone sales are concerned. This company had managed to sell 50 million smartphones in 2015, and such numbers managed to surprise quite a few people. OPPO continued to grow in 2016, and it will be interesting to see how they fare at the end of this year. That being said, OPPO had already introduced some compelling devices this year, like the OPPO R9 and R9 Plus, two devices that are probably going to be the company's best sellers, like OPPO R7 and R7 Plus were last year.
Having that in mind, it seems like OPPO plans to introduce yet another 'R' smartphone soon. According to the latest report, the OPPO R9S will be introduced in China on September 12th. Now, this handset will be an upgrade over the OPPO R9 it seems, and it will ship with OPPO's Super VOOC Flash Charge charging technology, which is capable of replenishing your smartphone's battery really fast, click here for more details. On top of that, the OPPO R9S is said to sport a new design, the so-called 'No Antenna Band' design, which essentially means that its antennas should be invisible, or at the very least very hard to notice. OPPO did patent this new design it seems, and the image also surfaced, you can check it out in the gallery down below.
Now, as far as the OPPO R9S' specs are concerned, this smartphone is expected to ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD display, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel the device. The 16-megapixel camera will be placed on the phone's back, while a 13-megapixel shooter is expected to be available up front. The phone will boast a 2,850mAh battery, and you can also expect to see two SIM card slots on the inside. This smartphone was already certified by TENAA (China's equivalent to the FCC), so chances are that it will launch on September 12th, as was reported a number of times thus far. That's more or less it, let's wait for the official announcement and see what OPPO has to offer this time around.
