Moto Z Play Can Now Be Pre-Ordered On Amazon For $449.99

Lenovo had introduced quite a few ‘Moto’ devices this year, including the two Moto flagship phones, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Now, these two smartphones were introduced back in June, and the ‘Play’ edition arrived at the end of last month. Lenovo had announced the Moto Z Play on August 31st, along with the Hasselblad Camera Moto Mod. That being said, the Moto Z, the Hasselblad Camera Moto Mod and a couple of other accessories have been made available for pre-order / purchase on Amazon quite recently. Well, it’s time for the Moto Z Play to join that list, read on.

The Moto Z Play is now also available for pre-order on Amazon, and it’s priced at $449.99. Do keep in mind that this is an unlocked smartphone, and that it comes with a U.S. warranty. For those of you who don’t know, the Moto Z Play is compatible with Moto Mods, same as the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force. Speaking of which, the Moto Z Force remains Verizon’s exclusive. Anyhow, the Moto Z Play sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, while it sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture). The 5-megapixel snapper is placed on the front side of this smartphone, while a 3,510mAh battery comes included here. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home key below the display, and a Type-C port is placed on the bottom of the phone. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Moto Z Play, while you’ll get a number of Moto apps along with it. The device measures 156.4 x 76.4 x 7mm, while it weighs 165 grams.

Do keep in mind that this unlocked Moto Z Play handset will work with GSM carriers only, so if you’re on Sprint, you might have to look elsewhere. The Moto Z Play will start shipping on October 20th, as the phone is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. If you opt to pre-order the device, you’ll get the Lunar Grey model considering that’s the only variant currently available on Amazon.
