Deal: UE BOOM 2 Bluetooth Speaker $149.99, 09/20/16

Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen, but that doesn't mean that they're all equal. In fact, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Having said that, there is a growing number of really decent Bluetooth speakers out there, but those coming from Ultimate Ears have consistently been some of the best on the market. Their second generation wireless speaker in the BOOM line is one of high quality and as the name suggests, it puts out booming audio with a decent amount of bass. It's even got some nice features to it when paired with the companion app for modification and management such as an equalizer, but they can be pretty expensive at a normal cost of $199.99. Luckily you can pick the UE BOOM 2 in the Phantom color (black) for just $149.99 right now.

The UE BOOM 2 is not only capable of putting out some booming sound, but the audio is also 360-degrees so it feels like you're hearing it come from everywhere, making for a richer experience. The UE BOOM 2 is shockproof so you can use it without fear of damage from average drop heights, and it's also waterproof in a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes thanks to the IPX7 rating. While most Bluetooth devices will have a standard range of about 33 feet, the UE BOOM 2 has a range of 100 feet, meaning you can literally walk around the house and leave the speaker where it is even if you take your phone with you. Battery life lasts about 15 hours on a single charge, and volume controls are located on the front of the speaker as indicated by the massive "+" and "-" buttons. Volume can also be managed from the connected device using the UE BOOM companion app, which is also used to update the software on the UE BOOM 2 through OTA updates.
