Alcatel POP 4 Tablets & XL Smartphone Debut At IFA 2016

IFA 2016 is currently ongoing in Berlin, Germany and so far, a slew of electronic manufacturers have launched a ton of new and compelling devices. Having already announced the Alcatel SHINE LITE yesterday, Alcatel has released a couple of new tablets and also a new smartphone. The newly announced devices happen to be the Alcatel Pop 4 which come in two different sizes and  also the Alcatel XL smartphone. All three devices sport significantly large displays and are suited for media consumption.

First up is the Alcatel POP 4 10-inch version. Like its name suggests, this tablet comes with a 10-inch display and it is powered by the Snapdragon 430 octa-core System-on-Chip. The other variant is the Alcatel POP 4 7-inch version. It comes with a 7-inch display and it is powered by a MediaTek MT8735 quad-core System-on-Chip. Other specs of the two tablets were not disclosed, except for the fact that both devices support CAT 4 4G-LTE. Moving on to the Alcatel XL smartphone, the device comes with a 6-inch HD IPS full lamination display with 2.5D arc glass. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 octa-core System-on-Chip. In terms of optics, it also comes with a 13 MP rear facing camera coupled with dual-LED flash, while the front sports a 5 MP camera for selfies. Beneath the camera on the back, lies a fingerprint scanner. According to Alcatel, the 3,500 mAh battery encased in the phone will be able to last a full day on standby. CAT 6 4G LTE is also present on this device.

Alcatel has placed high importance towards providing an immersive audio-visual experience with the release of its trio of devices. For audio, the company has teamed up with Waves to add MaxxAudio to all three devices, in order to provide optimization of its audio quality. The Alcatel POP 4 10-inch variant also features dual front speakers, which should provide sufficient audio when viewing media. As for availability, the three devices will be available in the Middle East, Asia and Europe in the coming months. However, no information regarding the prices of these new tablets and smartphone are available yet.
