Xiaomi's New Laptops To Become Available Globally On Aug. 27

As most of you know, Xiaomi is not only a smartphone manufacturer, far from it. This China-based company manufactures smartphones, tablets, and a slew of other smart gadgets, including electric bicycles, Segway-like products, smart bulbs, smart rice cookers, fitness trackers… and they've even introduced two laptops recently. Xiaomi had introduced the 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air laptops a week ago. These two devices are actually quite powerful, and during the launch event, Xiaomi did reveal their specifications, pricing and even availability in China, but chances are quite a few of you wondered when will they become available outside of Xiaomi's homeland, if that's the case, read on.

Now, you're probably aware that Xiaomi does not sell their devices officially in Europe or the US, well, almost anywhere outside of Asia, but that doesn't mean their products are not available unofficially. According to GearBest, a rather well-known Chinese reseller, both Mi Notebook Air laptops will become available internationally on August 27th. The company's website reveals this info, and it also shares the price for these two devices. That being said, we still don't know how much will the two laptops cost once they hit GearBest, but you can expect them to be somewhat more expensive than they are in China, of course. Speaking of which, the 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air costs 3,499 Yuan ($524) in China, while the 13.3-inch variant is priced at 4,999 Yuan ($749).

The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air comes with Intel's Core M3 processor on the inside, along with 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of SSD internal storage. Windows 10 OS comes out of the box, same as on the 13.3-inch model, and the device's battery can keep running up to 11.5 hours of usage (on a single charge), says Xiaomi. The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air model is fueled by Intel's Core i5 SoC, while NVIDIA's GeForce 940MX GPU is here for graphics processing. This variant of Xiaomi's laptop comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256GB SSD on the inside. The battery on a 13.3-inch model can last up to 9.5 hours on a single charge, in case you were wondering.
