There's no doubt that this week's hottest topic has been the latest device from Samsung, the all-new Galaxy Note 7. Samsung held their Unpacked event in New York on the 2nd which was Tuesday, and at the event was the official unveiling for the device that had been anticipated for months on end. It wasn't alone, of course, as it was announced alongside a new version of the of the Gear VR headset, which was also needed since the Galaxy Note 7 comes with a USB Type C port and isn't compatible with the older model. To be sure, the Galaxy Note 7 has a lot going for it and pre-orders have already started on all of the major carriers here in the U.S., as well as many other carriers globally, albeit with a fairly high price tag.
Even with it's new features and improvements, the Galaxy Note 7 has a lot familiar features as it looks and feels to some like a Galaxy S7 Edge with an S Pen. That might be true on some levels, but it is a decent improvement over the Galaxy Note 5 launched last year. The outside design was not changed too much, but Samsung did add the curved edge display to it this year, not only bringing the edge screen back to the Note series, but also marking the first time that the Galaxy Note devices have had dual curved edges. Then of course, there is the iris scanner that lets you unlock the device with your eyes, which is sure to be a hit with a lot of consumers. With all that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has going for it, will you be buying one?
