T-Mobile’s Smart Fit Lets You Test T-Mobile For One Month

T-Mobile is the sort of carrier who is not afraid to offer a different sort of deal to both new and existing customers. This has led to T--Mobile introducing various promotions which include the ability to zero-rate data consumed by video, by music, as well as other freebies through its T-Mobile Tuesdays program. It now seems that T-Mobile has very quietly launched another new initiative and this one is aimed towards those who might be thinking of making the switch.

The new initiative is 'Smart Fit' and it is very simple in its premise. If you are unsure of what type of plan you need and are looking to test out the service provided by T-Mobile, then Smart Fit is the obvious solution. The way it works is that you pay $65 for the first month and in return, you gain unlimited access to T-Mobile’s network for all your data, calls and so on.

Where the ‘smart’ part comes in, is that over the course of those thirty days (charged at $65), your usage will be monitored. Following which, at the end of the time-frame, Smart Fit will provide you with the plan options that are best suited to your actual levels of usage during that initial month. So providing you are using the service as you normally would, then the Smart Fit feature will be able to determine what your specific data or call usage is and provide you with details on the best plan(s) suited to you individually. As you might expect, there are no contracts or commitments in place and at the end of the month, you can just choose to turn away from T-Mobile, if that’s how you feel. So if nothing else, the Smart Fit option does at least provide a simple way for those thinking of switching to T-Mobile, the opportunity to test out what it would be like to switch to T-Mobile. It is worth noting that if you don't opt for any of the recommended plans offered by Smart Fit or close the account altogether, then the plan reverts to the standard 6GB data plan, which is billed at the same $65 per month.
