Fitness applications are a dime a dozen in the Google Play Store these days. Tons of developers decided to release their very own fitness apps, and each of those apps has an edge of sorts. You have probably already heard of apps like Runkeeper and Strava which are loyal companions for some people during their workout sessions like running and cycling, well, we’re here to talk about a similar app which is quite powerful as well, and packs in one really neat feature which people seem to love, read on.
The app in question is called ‘RunGo’, or as it’s listed in the Google Play Store, ‘RunGo - Voice Guided Running’. Now, if you take a look at the app’s full name, you’ll basically figure out what its main feature is, voice-guided navigation while you’re running. Let’s say you’re going for a run into unknown territory, or you’d just like to set up a workout route before you start, well, RunGo lets you do that without a problem. Choose your route in detail, which doesn’t take all that long to be quite honest, and go for a run. While you’re running, plug in your headphones, and let RunGo guide you all the way. The app will give you directions, it will tell you where to turn before you need to, but it also doubles as a tour guide of sorts. If you’re passing by a museum, for an example, RunGo will mention it to you. Do keep in mind that we haven’t exactly tested the app in detail, and are really not familiar how it works in smaller cities, but the feature is there. It is also worth mentioning that the app works offline once you download your route, while it also lets you log your runs. The app also tracks time, distance, elevation and calories stats, in case you need such information.
RunGo is a well-designed application, and a very capable running partner at that. The app is free to download, though there are in-app purchases included here. The promo video is included down below, and so are official images from the Google Play Store, in case you’d like to check those out before you download this application.
