Rumor: Galaxy Note 7 Gets Freebies from T-Mobile & Sprint

Samsung typically offers a few goodies with their flagship smartphones, in an attempt to get even more people to buy their new smartphone. With the Galaxy Note 7, it appears that Sprint and T-Mobile will be offering up a Gear Fit 2 for everyone that pre-orders and/or buys the Galaxy Note 7. This is according to 9to5Google, who confirmed the details with "multiple sources". As is usually the case with these "free" goodies, you won't be getting that Gear Fit 2 with the device when you order it. You'll need to wait about 6-8 weeks for your order to go through and receive your free Gear Fit 2. It's basically the new "mail-in rebate" that carriers used to do.

With Sprint, it looks like the free Gear Fit 2 will be only one of the two options for those picking up a Galaxy Note 7. The report also mentions that the other option is a 256GB micro SD card, that would work with the Galaxy Note 7 (as well as other flagships with a micro SD card slot like the HTC 10, Galaxy S7 and LG G5). There is a chance it could be the new UFS card, but that's not confirmed and is just speculated at this time. As far as Verizon and AT&T are concerned, there's no word on what freebies they may be offering up with the Galaxy Note 7, but according to the memo leak from earlier today, it does appear that Verizon will be offering some type of promotion with the Galaxy Note 7. And it could possibly be the new Gear VR headset that is expected to launch with the Galaxy Note 7 tomorrow in New York City.

The Galaxy Note 7 will be official tomorrow, August 2nd, at Samsung's Unpacked event in NYC. The device is said to be going up for pre-order within days of the announcement. Verizon is expected to start pre-orders the following day with the device being up for sale on August 19th. There's no word on the other carrier plans just yet, but they will likely be pretty similar. Currently, the rumored spec sheet for the Galaxy Note 7 includes a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (Exynos 8890 in other regions), and 4GB of RAM. Not to mention the 64GB of internal storage and a 3500mAh battery that will be non-removable.
