NVIDIA SHIELD Edition Of Q*bert: Rebooted Available For $5.99

Q*bert is a title many mature gamers will already be familiar with, as this is one of those classic 80s arcade games. As to be expected with a cult classic like Q*bert, it was only a matter of time before it become available in a more modern form and it did last year when Q*bert got a reboot of sorts in the form of Q*bert: Rebooted. This was an Android app version which came through and was even playable on the Nexus Player at the time.

Of course, this was way back at the start of 2015 and long before the NVIDIA SHIELD was launched and became so dominant in the Android TV playing field. Which means many SHIELD owners would not have had the joy of installing a revamped Q*bert on their SHIELD, on the day of release. Although, that has now been remedied as Q*bert is getting a second Android TV release in the form of Q*bert Rebooted: NVIDIA SHIELD Edition.

This fun-filled edition comes boasting a slew of Q*bert goodness with both versions of the game accessible. So if you want to play the standard ‘classic’ version then you can. Likewise, the Rebooted edition brings even more levels (over thirty) with a modernized look and feel thanks to the improved graphics and frame rate. One of the big benefits here is that this version does come with a TV-optimized interface which makes it ideal to play on the NVIDIA SHIELD. Although it is worth mentioning that this is not only available to SHIELD Android TV, as the NVIDIA SHIELD Edition is also compatible with the SHIELD Tablet and Tablet K1 as well.

If you fancy giving Q*bert Rebooted: NVIDIA SHIELD Edition a try, then it is now available to download from the Google Play Store. This is a game which will cost you $5.99 to download, but it is a game which does not include any ads or further in-app purchases, unlike the Android version which is free-to-download but includes IAPs. You can find out more about Q*bert Rebooted: NVIDIA SHIELD Edition by heading over to the Google Play Store or checking out the launch trailer for this special SHIELD version of Q*bert: Rebooted below.
