The Amazon Tap may not be the first device to feature Amazon's Alexa personal assistant, but it is one of the cheaper ones. After the Amazon Echo had been around for a little while, Amazon decided to come out with two cheaper speakers that included Alexa. That was the Echo Dot and the Amazon Tap. Unlike the Amazon Echo, the Amazon Tap is actually a portable Bluetooth speaker. However, the main difference here is that the Amazon Tap is not always listening. You actually need to tap the speaker to be able to use Alexa. It's a bit unfortunate, but that's the price you have to pay to have a portable speaker.
When the Amazon Tap was announced, it was priced at $129, that's a bit pricey for a portable Bluetooth speaker. Then again, this is more than just a portable Bluetooth speaker. It has a built-in assistant in Alexa. Since it was launched, the pricing of the Amazon Tap has not budged at all. Until now. Currently, Amazon is selling the Amazon Tap for just $114.99, which is about $15 off of its regular price. Not a huge discount, but it is the first discount the Amazon Tap has seen, so it's definitely worth taking a second look at. And no, this is not a refurbished model either.
