ASUS Unveils ZenPad 3 8.0 Tablet, Two Variants Available

ASUS had introduced some really compelling devices this year, their ZenFone 3 lineup is definitely something to pay attention to throughout the year. ASUS might not be on the same level as Samsung, Huawei and some other companies as far as smartphone sales go, but their ZenFone 2 devices were extremely popular last year, and the company is looking to improve upon that with the all-new ZenFone 3 lineup. This company also tends to release tablets from time to time though, like the ZenPad Z8 which was released on Verizon in the US. Well, ASUS has opted to introduce yet another tablet, a device which is quite similar to the ZenPad Z8, but unlike that tablet, it’s not exclusive to Verizon, read on.

The tablet in question is called the ZenPad 3 8.0, and it sports mid-range specifications. This tablet features a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 LCD display, along with 2GB / 4GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage which you can expand upon up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor running at 1.8GHz, and the Adreno 510 GPU is also available here, and is in charge of graphics rendering. The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of this tablet, and a 2-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Interesting enough, the ZenPad 3 8.0 also comes with a set of stereo speakers, and the Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of this device.

So, as you can see, this tablet is almost identical to the ZenPad Z8 in terms of specs. As far as the design goes, ZenPad 3 8.0 doesn’t really bring anything out of the ordinary to the table, but it’s still nice looking. Both the power / lock button and volume rocker keys are placed on the right-hand side of this tablet, and the device sports an industrial look, more or less. If you’d like to take a closer look at it, check out the embedded video and images down below. We still don’t know how much will this tablet cost considering the fact that ASUS did not release such information, but we will make sure to let you know as soon as they do.
