The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the latest and greatest handset released by Samsung. This phablet had been introduced a couple of days ago in New York, and initial reactions are more than positive. The company had already released availability info for the device for some countries, but not all of them. The Galaxy Note 7 will become available in the US and Europe soon, and it seems like China might get a more powerful Galaxy Note 7 variant than the rest of the world, at least based on the latest info, read on.
As you probably already know, Samsung had introduced the Galaxy Note 7 variant which ships with 4GB of RAM, despite the fact some of us thought that they will release a phone with 6GB of RAM. Well, a 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note 7 has surfaced on GFXBench, while it was also certified by TENAA, China’s equivalent to the FCC. This, more or less, confirms that such a phone is en route to the Chinese smartphone market. A number of companies have introduced devices with 6GB of RAM, including OnePlus, ASUS and ZTE, and it seems like Samsung will join that list soon. Do keep in mind that these listings don’t exactly confirm that such a phone is going to be announced, but considering that TENAA is basically an equivalent to the FCC, it represents one of the last steps before a device is launched, and we doubt Samsung would go through the certification process if the have no intention of releasing the phone, but we’ll see.
Aside from the RAM and internal storage change (the certified model also comes with 128GB of storage), the Galaxy Note 7 which got certified by TENAA and listed on Geekbench is identical to the one Samsung introduced a couple of days ago. The device sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Dual Edge Super AMOLED display, and a 3,500mAh battery is also a part of this package. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC will, seemingly, fuel the Chinese model of the Galaxy Note 7. The 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera is placed on the back of the Galaxy Note 7, and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter is also included here. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find the company’s Grace UX skin.
