2nd-Gen Galaxy On5 & Galaxy On7 Get Certified In China

Samsung is well-known for releasing tons of devices per year, and even though they did cut back on the sheer number of different smartphones they release, they still push out quite a few devices every year. The Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 were introduced last year, and we've been wondering when will Samsung introduce their successors. Well, the Galaxy On5 (2016) and Galaxy On7 (2016), the company's second-gen devices, have just been certified by TENAA (China's equivalent to the FCC), which suggests both of those phones will be officially announced soon enough.

Now, considering this is TENAA's certification listing we're talking about here, we have access to Galaxy On5's and On7's spec sheet and images. Let's start with the Galaxy On5 (2016), shall we. This smartphone will ship with a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor, and the Adreno 405 GPU will be included for graphics rendering. The 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera sensors will be available on the back and front side of this device, respectively, and a 2,600mAh battery is also a part of the package. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed here with Samsung's custom UI, and the phone will be available in Gold, Pink Gold, Metallic Gold and Black color variants.

The Galaxy On7 (2016), on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) panel, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB via a microSD card). This device is going to be fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.0GHz, while the Adreno 506 GPU is also included along with that chip. The 13-megapixel camera is going to be located on the back of the Galaxy On7 (2016), and an 8-megapixel snapper will be placed up front. The 3,300mAh non-removable battery will ship with this phone as well, and so will Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung's UI. The Galaxy On7 (2016) will be available in Gold color variant only it seems, though that might change by the time the phone gets announced.
