Xiaomi has been around since the year 2010 but despite its 6 years on the market, the company is still fairly new in most regions of the world besides China. For the most part and in its early years, Xiaomi was selling its products only in China, but as the company grew, it expanded its reaches into new regions of the world including India. It was two years ago today when Xiaomi entered the Indian market, and to commemorate the event, the smartphone maker is now celebrating its two-year anniversary in India by offering numerous discounts and prizes.
Starting today and until July 22, Xiaomi fans in India have an opportunity to buy one of the company's products at a reduced price. The Xiaomi Mi 5 now costs 22,999 Rupees ($341) – down from 24,999 Rupees ($371) – and is available in both black and white flavors. However, customers who would rather buy the Xiaomi Mi 5 in Gold for 24,999 Rupees – down from Rs. 26,798 – will also receive a pair of Mi "Pro Gold" in-ear headphones for free. For those who may be looking for a more affordable alternative, the Xiaomi Mi 4 might be just that, as it now costs 10,999 Rupees ($163) down from Rs. 14,999 ($223). The company also prepared a handful of bundles at a discount, allowing customers to shave Rs. 50 off the Xiaomi Mi Max's Rs. 15,298 retail price so long as they buy the device along with a protective case. Other bundles include the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which can also be coupled with a case for a 100 Rupees discount, and the Xiaomi Mi 4i, which is available at the usual price of 11,999 Rupees but includes a free Mi USB cable and Mi USB Fan.
Aside from these bundled deals and discounted prices, Xiaomi also prepared a number of "Flash Deals", which give customers an opportunity to buy various devices for the very low price of Rs. 1 (or a penny). Specifically, every day at 2 PM starting today and until July 22, customers have a chance to win one of 10 Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or Xiaomi Mi Max units, and one of 100 Xiaomi Mi Bands and / or Mi Bluetooth speakers. The winners will be picked at random, and they will have to pay only 1 Rupee to get hold of their products. Last but not least, it's very important to note that most of the offers mentioned above require users to download the Xiaomi Mi Store application.
