Rumor: Galaxy Note 7 Pre-Orders Start at T-Mobile Next Week

Samsung is looking to announce their next flagship, the Galaxy Note 7, at Unpacked on August 2nd in New York City. There have been rumors that the device would go up for pre-order the same day that it is announced. However, a rumor surfacing this morning shows that the Galaxy Note 7 may open up for pre-orders on T-Mobile USA even before the device is made official. According to SamMobile, T-Mobile may begin pre-orders next week. The publication notes that their source has said T-Mobile will be releasing the device on August 2nd. Instead of pre-orders beginning that day, it appears customers will have the device in hand by then.

Obviously, this is all unconfirmed right now. Meaning that we'll need to take this information with a grain of salt for now. However, if pre-orders are opening up at some point next week, T-Mobile will be making an announcement regarding them in the next few days. So it shouldn't be long before this information is confirmed as true or untrue. Additionally, it's unlikely that T-Mobile would be the only carrier opening up pre-orders next week - seeing as it's doubtful that Samsung would give them an exclusive on their flagship. This means that all four US carriers - AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon - should have the device up for sale as soon as August 2nd. Definitely beating Apple to store shelves with their upcoming iPhone, which should be unveiled in September.

As far as the rumor mill goes, the Galaxy Note 7 is supposedly going to sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, powered by either the Snapdragon 820 or 821 processor (both have been rumored), and of course the Exynos 8893 for other markets. Other specs have included 6GB of RAM and at least 32GB of storage. On the camera side of things, it looks like Samsung hasn't changed the camera very much, giving us another 12-megapixel camera. Likely the same sensor from the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, which have both received great reviews from both reviewers and consumers alike.

If pre-orders do open up next week for the Galaxy Note 7, it'll be interesting to see what information the carriers share. Since the device will still, technically, be unofficial.
