Memento Bay Is A Simplistic, Fast-Paced Racing Game

Many people would say that simple games are the best games, especially ones who don’t like to spend a whole lot of time gaming. Luckily for them, there are tons of such games available out there, the Google Play Store, same as other platforms, contain quite a few such titles. We’ve talked about a rather interesting trivia game yesterday, in case you’d like to check that out, and are here to cover a really simple racing game that we’ve come across recently. So, if you’re looking for a nice time-wasting game, read on.

The game we’re here to talk about is called ‘Memento Bay’. If you take a look at the images down below, you’ll get to see that you play from a bird’s perspective here. So, what’s the gist? As already mentioned, the game is quite simple, all you have to do is hold your finger on the display in order for the speedboat to go forward, you move your finger (while holding down) left and right in order to steer, and that’s it. If you need to slow down, either move your finger off of the display, or simply take a quick turn to the side, that will also slow it down. While you’re progressing, you’ll need to make sure to follow the red dot which you can see at the very top of the display. That dot tells you where the next checkpoint is, and just so that we’re clear, you’re not allowed to miss a single checkpoint or you’ll have to start all over again. There are a number of obstacles in your way, ranging from boats and trees, all the way to glaciers and houses. Running into various obstacles won’t kill you, but it will slow you down considerably. While you’re playing, you’ll need to collect various artifacts, and there are also places on the map which will give you more speed, the red fields with the white arrow that points forward.

The graphics in Memento Bay isn’t groundbreaking, it’s actually quite minimalistic and I doubt many people will complain about it. Now, you might notice that the game currently holds a 3.6-star rating, which seems bad, but these bad ratings are mostly left because of the in-game ads. Memento Bay was ad-free once it seems, and it now shows you ads after you die (not every time though), but those are full screen ads which automatically play sound (though you can remove them, for a price), and people are really irritated by that.
