Borderlands 2 Now Available On NVIDIA SHIELD

Owners of the NVIDIA SHIELD are likely to be quite happy with their purchase. In Addition to owning the most powerful Android TV device currently available, NVIDIA has not been shy when it comes to updates or when it comes to adding additional value to the purchase, like with the availability of GeForce NOW or NVIDIA-exclusive games and content. One example of an NVIDIA-exclusive title was the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. A popular title from the Borderlands series of games.

Speaking of which, the latest exclusive arrival is now here for SHIELD Android TV owners and this is another title from the popular Borderlands franchise, Borderlands 2. NVIDIA did announce early last month that Borderlands would be arriving on the SHIELD and although those interested in their next dose of console-like action have had to wait, the wait is now over. For those new to Borderlands 2, as the name suggests this is the sequel to the original Borderlands game, although much has changed since the original. In Borderlands 2, gamers are able to play as one of four characters, Axton, Zero, Maya and Salvador and the actual gameplay is much the same as the original game (and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) with access to a ton of weaponry and out of this world backdrops. Borderlands 2 also offers gamers the ability to play in a four way co-op for those who prefer a multi-player style of gameplay.

In terms of getting the newly released SHIELD version, Borderlands 2 is is now available to download from the Google Play Store and currently costs $14.99 to download. It is worth noting that this is one of those titles which is not an exclusive to just the SHIELD Android TV as it is also being made available to owners of the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1. Speaking of which, owners of the SHIELD Tablet K1 are also now able to download Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as well, as that game was recently updated recently with added support for the SHIELD Tablet. As a result, SHIELD Tablet owners can also now pick up Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from the Google Play Store and this one also costs $14.99 to download.
