There are a number of smartphones available which look to be both high-performing while also as affordable as possible. More recently, one of the newer options to come through was the Bluboo Maya. This is a smartphone which looked to ensure that its camera capabilities were as good as they could be on a smartphone which comes priced at only $99.99. Following the launch of the Bluboo Maya, Bluboo made it clear that they were expanding the Maya range with other devices, the first being the Maya Max. Which as the name suggests comes with a few notable boosts in other departments, like for instance battery life with the Max variant coming equipped with a 4,200 mAh battery.
Now it looks as though we are getting to see what is next in line from Bluboo on the Maya front as now we are hearing that the next Maya smartphone will be the Bluboo Maya Premium. While there are no current details on the price or the availability of the Bluboo Maya Premium, it does seem clear that Bluboo is looking to improve on the Bluboo Maya's processing capabilities.
While the Maya comes equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek (MTK6580A) quad-core processor, the new Premium variant is said to come running a Mediatek Helio P10 octa-core processor. As this is a smartphone which already comes boasting a Sony IMX298 sensor, this will make the Bluboo Maya the first smartphone to feature the Helio P10 processor as well as the Sony IMX298 sensor. In terms of the rest of the specs, very little is known about the Maya Premium, although we are hearing that many of the specs will be in line with the Maya Max including the 4,200 mAh battery. As well as the body being more premium than the other Maya options due to the use of aerospace-class aluminium and a unibody design.
That said, irrespective of the rest of the specs, the big selling point here with the Maya Premium will be the combination of the Helio P10 processor and the Sony IMX298 sensor. This will be put forward as a smartphone which boasts a higher level of performance while also a better camera experience, and of course, while being ultra-competitively priced. For comparison, the recently released Nubia Z11 mini comes sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 and the Sony IMX298 within a similar price bracket. As such and with the Helio P10 included, those looking for a smartphone which is powerful and yet offers good camera functionality will likely want to be checking out the Maya Premium when it is announced. As this will be a smartphone which while coming in on the budget side of the market, it will be looking to offer a more flagship smartphone camera level and experience.
