Nubia had introduced three ‘Z11’ smartphones this year, the Nubia Z11, Nubia Z11 Mini and Nubia Z11 Max. Now, the company did not release all of these devices at the same time this time around, unlike last year. The Nubia Z11 Mini came first, it was followed by the Nubia Z11 Max, and then the flagship Nubia Z11 arrived. The first two devices are the company’s mid-range offerings, while the Nubia Z11 is the company’s premium smartphone.
The Nubia Z11 is actually a ‘bezel-less’ handset, just like its predecessor, and it is made out of metal. It sports a fingerprint scanner on the back, and no physical keys on the front. This smartphone was introduced at the end of last month, and the company already held its first flash sale in China. Interestingly enough, a million people registered for this flash sale, and considering Nubia did not have that many Nubia Z11’s in stock, they were able to sell 250,000 units. These devices were sold on July 6th in only a couple of hours, and the company’s co-founder said that Nubia is working hard to stock up more devices for the July 13th sale. It seems like Nubia is trying to keep Nubia Z11’s momentum and offer more devices to consumers while the device is still hot and new. In addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that Nubia is growing quite a bit in markets outside of China as well, the company is expecting to sell 900,000 units in Thailand this year, which is quite a lot if you considering they’ve sold only around 300,000 units there last year, which is a good example of how well Nubia's phones are doing in some markets.
The Nubia Z11 features a 5.5-inch FullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable. The 16-megapixel OIS camera is located on the back of the Nubia Z11, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found on the device’s front side. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes out of the box, and on top of it, you’ll find Nubia’s UI v4.0. The phone comes in Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold color variants, in case you were wondering. Nubia did launch its international site earlier this year, but their smartphones are still not available through that site, though they might become available before the end of this year, we’ll see.
