Zopo is one of many China-based smartphone manufacturing companies we've talked about in the last couple of months. This company made an appearance at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona back in February, where the company showcased a test unit of their all-new flagship, the Zopo Speed 8. This smartphone has since been announced, and is now available for pre-order from a number of sources. We've reviewed the Speed 8's predecessor, the Speed 7, and will get our hands on the Speed 8 soon enough. That being said, the company has released some new info recently, so let's see what's that about, shall we.
The company has announced that they will launch three new smartphones in the next 30 days. All of these devices will be mid-rangers, though Zopo says they will offer premium features, such as very capable batteries, fingerprint scanner, HD displays, metal finishing, good cameras, etc. These phones will also be quite affordable, says the company, and will be part of the company's 'Color' series of smartphones. The three devices will be called Zopo Color C3, Color F2 and Color F5, and that's pretty much all the info that we've received thus far. Zopo has, however, attached an image along with this e-mail, and it seems like they're teasing the design of the upcoming Color-branded devices. If you take a look at the provided image, you will notice that the back of Zopo's upcoming devices resembles the Speed 8's design, though the Color devices will be less rounded it seems. The fingerprint scanner is quite noticeable here, and so is the dual-LED, dual tone flash. These devices will sport a metal frame, and the loudspeaker will be placed on the very bottom. Now, we don't know if this will be the case with all three devices, we're basing these comments on the provided image, of course.
So, what specs can we expect here? Well, considering Zopo mentioned HD displays, you can expect to see 720p (1280 x 720) HD panels on these phones, and the camera on the back will probably host a 13-megapixel sensor. Android 6.0 Marshmallow might ship out of the box on Zopo's Color devices, though we'll have to wait for more info in order to be sure. Either way, stay tuned, we'll report back soon.
