Xiaomi's Huge Mi Max Phablet Will Launch In India On June 30

Xiaomi definitely belongs amongst the most active smartphone manufacturing companies this year. This China-based company had introduced quite a few smartphones thus far, and in addition to that, they’ve also announced some other smart gadgets, and even a new version of their mobile OS. The Xiaomi Mi 5 arrived back in February during the Mobile World Congress, and the Mi Max phablet was announced last month alongside MIUI 8 OS. The company has also announced the Mi Band 2 fitness tracker recently, and same can be said for the Mi Drone, Xiaomi’s very first drone.

That being said, quite a few Indian consumers were wondering when will the Mi Max land in India, and Hugo Barra decided to share the good news on his Twitter account. “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans! Stay tuned,” said Hugo Barra, and if that’s not enough of a confirmation for you, he also shared a Mi Max commercial along with this tweet. This is a new Mi Max commercial, and if you’d like to check it out, we’ve embedded it below this article. The Mi Max is Xiaomi’s huge 6.44-inch phablet, and it’s definitely not for everyone, but if you’re into such huge devices and do happen to live in India, the Mi Max is certainly a device to consider.

The Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, along with 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The 3GB RAM variant comes with either 32GB or 64GB of native storage, while the 4GB RAM model ships with 128GB of internal storage on the inside. The more affordable model is fueled by the Snapdragon 650, while the higher-end variant comes with the Snapdragon 652 SoC. We still don’t know which variant will Xiaomi opt to release in India, who knows, maybe they release both of them. The 16-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of the Mi Max, along with the rear-facing fingerprint scanner. On the front side of this device, you’ll notice the 5-megapixel camera, and a 4,850mAh non-removable battery pack is also included in this package.
